Digital Inks are Neat with Manga Studio 5
Heya fellas, sorry for the hiatus. Things have been hectic around the holidays, but I’m back on track.
I recently picked up a copy of Manga Studio Pro during a sale for 15 bucks, and I must say, it was well worth the small amount spent. I’ve decided to give it a go with the next part of the comic I’m working on. So far, inking has been a delight.
Nigh from The End Is Nigh inked in Manga Studio Pro.
The brushes and pens work and look much like traditional inks, in my opinion.
There’s also these neat settings that allow you to control anti-aliasing on your pens to give you just the amount of crispness your looking for. The stabilization is also really nifty for those with an unsteady hand.
Speaking of an unsteady hand, Manga Studio Pro includes a number of ways to fix your lines after you lay them down. With tools like line width and curve correction, and the programs use of vector and raster integration, you can achieve the look your going for.
If you’re looking for a new program to create some quality illustrations, this one is definitely worth checking out. Smith Micro offers a free 30 day trial with limited saving features which you can find here:

It’s priced at $47.99, but it will occasionally go on sale, so keep your eyes pealed!
Cheers!
